The Nebraska High School Press Association is dedicated to supporting student journalists and educators across the state, promoting press freedom and fostering an inclusive media landscape that empowers all student voices.

New Voices Legislation

New Voices is a student-powered movement advocating for scholastic press rights. The movement’s mission is to ensure that high school journalists have the freedom to report on important issues without fear of censorship. The NHSPA support New Voices in Nebraska.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

The NHSPA’s DEI committee is working to create initiatives that will amplify underrepresented voices in media, foster diversity in storytelling and equip students with the tools to challenge bias in reporting.
